A rainbow of information

Red and yellow and ... no, not the well known song, but the suite of publications that the ASFP is publishing. Published in conjunction with the Fire Test Study Group, 'Fire Stopping and Penetration Seals for the Construction Industry' (also known as the 'ASFP Red Book') is now available as a free download from the ASFP website. This publication has been prepared by members of the ASFP and presents various economical methods, proprietary materials and systems to provide fire protection for seals and penetrations within fire separating elements, in compliance with building regulations. It provides a comprehensive guide to over seventy proprietary materials and systems all of which are manufactured and/or marketed by members of ASFP The publication includes information concerning non-rigid fire barriers. Information on rigid fire barriers is to be found in the ASFP publication 'Fire rated non-loadbearing partitions', which is also referred to as the 'ASFP Purple Book', but more of that later.
