In his article on the IFE's register of fire risk assessors in May, Colin Todd provoked some responses which, he feels, show that there is considerable confusion on the subject. So we have invited him to clarify the process and the rationale behind it. The institution of fire engineers' register of fire risk assessors and auditors is now well established, and the IFE's professional review panel has processed around 120 applications for registration.
