Resettable fire alarm call points are being rolled out across all London underground stations, following a successful pilot to help reduce the time which stations are closed down. Metronet Rail, the London underground-owned business which is responsible for maintenance of two-thirds of the tube network, piloted the STI (Safety Technology International) call points at Great Portland Street and Euston Square earlier this year. The success of the EN 54-11-approved ReSet and IP67 Waterproof ReSet call points in these pilots mean they are to be installed at the remaining 82 stations.
