The west London-based Saatchi Gallery threw open its doors to the public in October, supported by fire detection technology from Honeywell. Phase one of the project saw system integrator FFE Fire and Security install the Notifier ID2000-based fire protection system, followed by an ID3000, both of which meet the criteria providing smoke detection security while being 'invisible' to visitors. The site, which is housed in the Duke of York's HQ building in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, incorporates the 50,000 ft~2 gallery, luxury apartments and a gym.
