A desire to improve the quality of service offered to patients at the £7.5 million Prospect View Medical Centre in Worcestershire is behind the decision to introduce an addressable call system from C-Tec. The Quantec product is designed to provide rapid lines of communications between staff and 19,000 patients. Each of the 24 consulting rooms is equipped with a call point, special call lead and over-door light which can be used to alert emergencies, while LED corridor displays offer visibility of information. Software helps evaluate staff performance, optimises shift efficiency and reviews patient demands. "As a medical facility providing primary healthcare, GP and dentistry services, Quantec is an essential part of our infrastructure," explained David Jago, manager of the centre. "The system is invaluable as it provides staff and patients with the reassurance that, if there is an emergency, it will be responded to quickly. Quantec enables us to fully discharge our duty of care to the people accessing our facilities."
