Datwyler is continuing to provide safety cabling for Frankfurt Airport's expansion, including systems for Hall C in Terminal 1, the fire prevention enhancement projects in Terminal 2, the connection between these terminals, the expansion of various car parks and the new Gateway Gardens neighbourhood. These include halogen-free ceramic cables with functional integrity, as well as tested connection, support, and mounting components. The contract includes training and consulting services for the cable installation companies. Previously, Terminal 2 was equipped with copper and fibre optic cabling from the company, including the Unilan Modular and FO cables with mono and multimode fibres in OM3 quality. High speed data networks are also installed in the connecting corridor between departure lounges C and D, in the cargo hall for the A310, in the airport hotel and, most recently, in several car parks. The applications range from office communications and connections for counter, display and card-reading devices to access control and the traffic management system.
