Saccardo jet nozzles for M25 tunnel smoke control

As part of a £90m contract to upgrade the 470m long Bell Common tunnels on the M25 motorway, Saccardo nozzles will be installed at the tunnel portals by ductwork and smoke control specialists, Senior Hargreaves.rnThe ventilation and smoke control part of the contract will see the replacement of jet fans with the nozzles, which inject high volumes of air to provide smoke control in the event of a fire. This is the third Saccardo project for the company, which supplied similar equipment to the Thames tunnels on the High Speed One rail link and to the Holmesdale tunnels on the M25.
