Devon-based Brend Hotels has upgraded fire safety with sensing and sounding technology from Hochiki, to minimise instances of false alarms without compromising safety at its nine properties.rnMore than 2000 Hochiki ESP (Enhanced System Protocol) analogue addressable devices have been installed as part of a rolling programme of fire safety improvement over the past two years. The sensors are said to have a high resistance to false alarms, thanks to a combination of digital transmission for secure signalling; high immunity from electrical noise; and the incorporation of Hochiki's Checksum error checking system which safeguards the integrity of the data.
