One Finsbury Circus-an office development built around a Grade II listed facade in the City of London-has been fitted with Pyrotenax mineral insulated (Pyro MI) cables from Tyco Thermal Controls. The building, which provides 187,000 ft~2 of office space, has been co-developed by the Property Merchant Group and Hermes Real Estate. Used in circuits for both life safety and firefighting rated applications, the cable was specified by MTT Consulting to meet the performance requirement, as defined in BS 7346-6 specification for cable systems, and has also been tested against fire test methodology BS 7346-6:2005, achieving the highest performance requirement of 120 minutes for firefighting systems.
