B&b Fire Sense Campaign Kicks Off

An organisation campaigning to have fire safety law applied proportionately and consistently to homes which offer overnight accommodation on a small scale, is meeting with fire minister Sadiq Khan. The Fire Safety Sense campaign is a group of organisations representing over 460,000 tourism small businesses, and aims to highlight what they see as the damaging way fire safety legislation is being enforced across the UK. The campaign calls on the government to ensure the legislation is applied with common sense and proportionality, and is also compiling an e-petition to the prime minister on the Number 10 Downing Street website.
