Training methodologies

There has been a good deal of discussion in recent years about the need for high quality training in fire investigation. While a recognition that levels of expertise have not always been as high as they should is welcome, it is important to recognise that the concept of 'fit for purpose' applies just as much in this area as in many others. As in any other work activity, the level of training and expertise required will depend upon the task that the individual is being called upon to perform.
