The integrated Clothing Project (ICP) - which aims to deliver a standard level of appropriate protection for firefighters across England and create a stronger national identity for the fire and rescue service — has moved a step closer to completion. The board overseeing the ICP - which will provide PPE and a range of corporate wear to brigades - is currently considering the results of garment trials carried out earlier this year, where four bidding consortia put forward PPE ensembles for a variety of physiological and ergonomic tests.
