Accreditation trip

The institute of Fire Safety Managers sent an accreditation team to assess the training provided by a company in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Two of the Institute's accreditation staff travelled to the Emirates Technical and Safety Development Centre, where they observed the basic and advanced fire-fighting courses, and fire warden training courses run at the facility. Most of the standards and procedures followed are based on British practice, and were therefore familiar to the accreditation team.
