ADT engineers adopt automated mobile technology

Tbs has provided electronic security solutions company ADT with TaskMaster, a suite of mobile workforce management applications, to replace the paper-based work routines used by its field engineers. ADT typically receives 64,000 alerts every day and has 1,200 service engineers on the road. Mark Collins, business systems manager at ADT, explains: 'We needed to implement a mobile data solution which would address a number of issues our service engineers faced on a daily basis, for both reactive and proactive visits; something that would allow them to complete the same tasks in a smarter, clearer and faster fashion.
