Following some very successful projects undertaken with a large main contractor, Trenton Fire was recommended as the first place the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) should go for fire safety advice after London was awarded the 2012 Olympic Games. Towards the end of 2007, we began work with the Olympic Development Authority (ODA) to develop a coordinated and strategic approach to fire safety in the Olympic Park. This was not a detailed look at particular venues, but an overall strategic review encompassing design principles, so that the correct specification could be adopted from the start.
