Note: Measuring the Effective Heats of Combustion of Transformer-Insulating Fluids Using a Controlled -Atmosphere Cone Calorimeter

摘要

The effective heats of combustion of two commonly used transformer-insulating fluids, a high molecular weight hydrocarbon fluid and a 50 cS silicone fluid, have been measured using a controlled-atmosphere cone calorimeter. The study shows that the cone calorimeter is a good tool to measure the effective heats of combustion of transformer- insulating fluids.
