The Address of the outgoing International President is traditionally more compact than others that he gives and whilst this will be no exception, there are a number of issues which I do need to reflect on as a final tidying up exercise before handing over the Presidential role. A huge amount has happened over the last two years, most of which is so well documented in the pages of the Journal and in the two annual reports, that I have little to add. However, because of the way they reflect organisational growth, it was nice to see the creation of the USA Branch and the Arabian Gulf States Branch. The latter, of course, was subsequently tinged with great sadness by the death of its architect, John Clitherow, so soon after attaining his aim.
