LONE STAR STEAKHOUSE FIRE, DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS

AT 1:11 A.M. ON APRIL 28, 2000, the Downers Grove Village (IL) Operations Center (VOC) received notification of a burglar alarm at the Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, a popular restaurant on the south side of town. Two police units arrived within minutes and reported heavy smoke coming from the restaurant and called the fire department to the scene. The Village Operations Center dispatched a full still assignment at 1:15 a.m.
