CEO and owner, Javier Fernandez is a career active duty firefighter. After injuring his back with LDH, he dedicated his time to designing a tool for fire hose loading that would prevent back injuries and stretch manpower. He added an LDH drain attachment for draining long, straight LDH lays soon after. Still pushing innovation, the new Power Roller attachment will set the standard for fast, easy draining, rolling and loading of 3, 4 and 5" LDH. It is the world's only portable, battery operated large diameter fire hose roller. When loading rolls of hose with this system, only two firefighters are needed, freeing up valuable firefighters for other tasks. With the current shortages in the volunteer ranks, expanding coverages, shrinking budgets, higher workman's comp insurance and an aging work force, the RollNRack equipment makes a difference. Fernandez is a hands-on owner and demonstrates the RollNRack equipment at trade shows around the country. He seems to be determined to be the hardest working guy at each show, running continuous demonstrations on how RollNRack tools tame fire hose-LDH in particular. The equipment makes a backbreaking job easier, faster and more importantly, safer. Back strain injuries are the number one reason for disability retirement of firefighters across the nation.
