UPF INTRODUCES THE POLY-TANK® III

In 1982, the first polypropylene water tank was designed and built through the efforts of a Lynnfield, Massachusetts Fire Department technician. Within a few years, the demand for this new tank reached the point where the Lynnfield technician and a fellow fire fighter became co-founders of the world's first polypropylene fire tank business. In 1986, United Plastic Fabricating, Inc. (UPF) opened the doors of a 6,400 square foot facility in North Andover, Massachusetts. Sales grew rapidly, and within a year's time, UPF moved to a 10,000 square foot facility. UPF further expanded its operations by Opening a Florida plant in 1989 and another in Wisconsin in 1991. With continued growth, UPF moved into a new, 39,000 square foot corporate headquarters in 1992 which includes a design and engineering center. Today, UPF has over 170,000 square feet in its three facilities and employs over 225 people.
