Friends, Welcome back to the 87th FDIC International. And thank you for taking the time to glance at this preconference letter. I would like to get right to the meat of the matter: The fire service this year had an incredible amount of growth, trauma, innovation, and tribulation. At your FDIC International, we plan on discussing all of it. As you know, FDIC International is dedicated to you, your values, and your philosophy of life. We recognize that the men and women who attend FDIC did not suffer fools gladly and are among the best our society has to offer.
