Recently, Fire Chief Anthony Martinez set out to improve the fire protection capabilities of the Village of Corrales, a small, rural village outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Specifically, Chief Martinez wanted to provide the village with its first fire hydrants. By doing this, it would ensure a reliable method to refill fire tanker trucks at a faster rate than the current gravity setup permitted. Chief Martinez had four goals he wanted to achieve that the Darley Self-Testing Hydrant Booster exceeded: 1) Deliver 1000 gpm @ 50 psi, 2) Reliability, 3) Easy to operate and maintain, and 4) Fit within the limited budget.
