Key Hose, now a division of KFH Industries, was established in 1988 in Miami, Florida by Charlie Genthner. Charlie began with 16 used circular weaving looms purchased from Europe and transformed Key Hose into the world's largest manufacturer of fire hose and related products. This state of the art manufacturer has more than 250,000 square feet of manufacturing space for the design and manufacture of fire hose. Within that manufacturing space, raw materials like high tenacity ring spun, filament polyester and 6.6 nylon yarns are woven on more than 80 circular weaving looms. Two extruders allow for the manufacture of rubber and polyurethane liners to be combined and cured into the highest quality fire hose. Test tables and a state of the art laboratory ensure that all fire hose is manufactured to meet current NFPA and Underwrites Laboratories standards. Custom colors and stripes are available to meet the needs of the fire departments.
