Bowen Island is a small island about the size of Manhattan off the west coast of British Columbia. Known as uThe Rock," Bowen Island can be paradise to its residents. Because of its extremely mountainous and hilly terrain with occasional high winds, however, the landscape can present some pretty unique challenges for those, like the fire department, who need to travel the road quickly. For the Bowen Island Fire Department and HUB Fire Engines, the challenging terrain presented an interesting opportunity to create the biggest and most powerful fire truck on the island.
