The Evansville (IN) Fire Department uses this RESCUE 1 MFG heavy rescue truck for fireground support and basic rescue calls, says Assistant Chief Paul Anslinger. The truck is also used as the department's hazmat unit and responds to technical rescues (high-angle, confined-space, and so on). The truck also has more cab seating, a longer wheelbase, a more powerful engine, and more compartments than the department's previous vehicle.
