The Walden (NY) Fire Department runs this SPARTAN ER rear mount aerial as a "dedicated" truck company (no pump or water tank.). Former Chief Paul Pullar says it has a turning radius and outrigger system that allows it to negotiate in a village environment (i.e., narrow streets and tightly packed houses) as well as the more suburban and rural parts of the district. The aerial responds to structure fires, technical rescues, and public service calls.
