On Feb 12, 2009, at 10:20 P.M., the Clarence Center (NY) Volunteer Fire Co and Clarence Fire District 1 were dispatched to 6050 Long Street for a reported airplane crash and house on fire. A Continental commuter plane heading to Buffalo NY, from Newark New Jersey, carrying 45 passengers and four crew members, crashed into a house, killing all onboard and one resident in the home.
