NFIRS Web-based data entry tool introduced

The Data Entry Browser Interface (DEBI) tool will facilitate the entering of data into the US Fire Administrations's National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) database. DEBI eliminates the need to download and install software on the NFIRS user's computer and runs on standard Web browsers. It is available without charge to all users. To obtain the tool, fire departments must complete the user registration at www.nfirs.fema.gov/users/ and the department's NFIRS state program manager must grant the necessary permissions to use the new tool and activate the department's account.
