The Redmond (WA) Fire Department has added two pumpers and one aerial platform built by PIERCE. Lieutenant Steve Guenther says the pumpers are designed for general firefighting, to carry tools for fireground support and basic life support equipment for medical calls, and feature a foam system to enhance fire attack. Captain Drew Cassidy says the platform is part of a region deployment model and is used for traditional "truck work." It carries a self-contained foam system for incidents requiring a short duration fire suppression.
