Addition and Alterations to Brookside Station

The Brookside Station, built 1950s on the corner of a residential street, is home to Engine Company No. 2 of the Uniondale Fire District and was in need of improvements for its growing company of 30 volunteer firefighters. The plan was to expand the existing fire-house to accommodate new, larger apparatus - had two fire engines and now has two engines and one brush truck. H2M Architects + Engineers provided architectural and engineering services for the addition/alteration of the 1,500-square-foot existing building that remains a portion of the new 6,900-square-foot facility that has a new truck room with dedicated gear area, office, mezza- nine and outdoor covered patio for company functions.
