摘要

This paper presents the development of an innovative curved steel membrane floor for the bodies of large rear-dump mining trucks. Three membrane profiles were considered. Their performance was evaluated by comparing the impact damage of the floors when struck by large rocks. A finite element dynamic analysis program MSC/DYNA was used to model the response of these membrane floors and also of a conventional flat-plate-type floor to rock impact.
