PMC-Sierra introduces MSP7160 integrated GPON fiber access gateway device

PMC-Sierra Inc. announced the availability of a Gigabit-speed, multiservice fiber access gateway device with an integrated ITU-T G.984 GPON interface. The MSP7160 integrates all of the functionality required for a GPON residential gateway and takes advantage of PMC-Sierra s proven GPON interoperability and software layers to improve performance and reduce OEM time-to-market and development costs.
