PMC-Sierra and Sigma Designs demonstrate an end-to-end FTTx and HomePNA solution for cable TV networks

PMC-Sierra Inc., an Internet infrastructure semiconductor solution provider, and Sigma Designs Inc., a provider of system-on-chip (SoC) technology used to deliver entertainment and control throughout the home, announced a live demonstration of an Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) and a HomePNA Fast Ethernet over Coax (EoC) solution that will provide cable operators with end-to-end capabilities and enable FTTx deployments.
