Shaw to follow Google by testing 1Gbps broadband service

U.S.-based Google is not the only firm that is planning to launch 1Gbps broadband. Canadian broadband and cable service provider Shaw Communications is also trialing a techn9logy that would allow it to increase the speed of its Nitro broadband service from 100Mbps to 1Gbps.
