Broadband in Eastern Caribbean to benefit from $25m World Bank-funded development program

Telecommunications in the Eastern Caribbean is set to benefit from the allocation of $25 million being disbursed through a regional project called the Caribbean Regional Communications Infrastructure Program (Carcip). The World Bank-funded project, to bridge the gaps in regional broadband communications development, will address submarine cable infrastructure and landing stations, domestic backbone networks and national Internet exchange points (IXPs).
