Iliad launches Free Fibre on Auvergne, Rosace public networks

French operator Iliad has confirmed the launch of its Free fiber broadband services on the Auvergne regional network and the Rosace network in the east of the country. The Auvergne network covers over 105,000 homes in more than 80 municipalities. Another 35,000 homes will be commercialized in a second phase later this summer, and Free will also be present on any future extensions. Iliad said its fiber services are already available to more than 130,000 homes in cities and more built-up areas of the Auvergne region. By the end of the summer, its total fiber coverage should reach more than 270,000 premises in the departments Puy-de-Dome, Haute-Loire, Cantal and Allier.
