World Bulk Trades 2007 Summary

The graphs below show the volumes of imports and exports by vessels above 50,000 dwt for different areas for oil and dry bulk commodities.rnOil shipments by VLCCs (200,000+ dwt) were 1039 mdwt in 2007, up 0.3% from 2006. Shipments from MEG/Red Sea fell 3.6% to 791.5 mdwt and stood for 76% of total VLCC shipments in 2007. Exports from W.Africa decreased 12.4% to 153.2 mdwt. Exports from N.Africa and the Near East stayed fairly stable and ended at 31.4 mdwt, down by 1.3%. N.Sea exports by VLCCs increased by 28.1% to 16.4 mdwt in 2007.
