摘要

Winston Churchill, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor - three illustrious names who were guests on former Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito's personal yacht Galeb (Seagull), which is about to be reinvented as a museum ship by the Croatian city of Rijeka.rnIn late May the northern port was the only bidder in a sale held after a local court ruled that the state of disrepair into which the vessel had fallen made such a sale urgent. The agreed price was $150,000.rnFor the past eight years the former yacht has been anchored at the Viktor Lenac shipyard near Rijeka and in 2006 the Croatian cultural ministry declared it to be a protected cultural artefact.
