Shipbrokers and charter managers can expect great job mobility, even in today's tight economic times, according to Mark Charman, CEO of recruiting company Faststream. "We know of candidates in Singapore resigning from jobs without one to go to, so confident are they of finding lucrative employment quickly and easily," he said. This is not the case in Europe or the US, but even in London, the weariness of the past 18 months is disappearing, he added, with candidates much more receptive to furthering careers by moving to different companies.
