VLCC Gulf rates firm on contracts and relets

Contracts of Affreightment (COAs) may have cleared out some tonnage and helped firmrnVLCC rates in the Gulf last week. Unipec is reported to have taken eight Chinese vessels and afterwards the Japanese took four relets and the Koreans withdrew others for their use, say Braemar Seascope.
