Record snowfalls in the northeast US did not prevent a record crowd from attending an address by Jack Noonan, president of Chembulk Tankers (part of PT Berlian Laju Tanker in Jakarta), at a luncheon sponsored by the Connecticut Maritime Association. The innocuous title of Noonan's speech, 'Chemical tankers in our everyday lives', belied the seriousness of his message: that we may be in an upward phase of a super-cycle that will greatly benefit industrial shipping, including vessels taking multiple parcels of chemicals.
