Griffith Lynch will take over as chief operating officer at Georgia Ports Authority in March. Lynch has experience in container terminal management with Sea-Land, APM Terminals and, most recently, Global Container Terminals, where he managed the design and implementation of the expansion of Bayonne terminal in New Jersey. Damco, the logistics arm of the AP Moller-Maersk Group, has appointed Diederick de Vroet as its global head of Ocean Freight. De Vroet has ocean freight experience with Kuehne+Nagel International, and has sales and airfreight experience in Asia, Netherlands and the UK. He will be based in Copenhagen.
