Siemens Rail Automation/Invensys Rail pairing provides a 'much broader' technology palette, Paljug says

Siemens Rail Automation recently completed its $2.8 billion acquisition of Invensys Rail (June 2013, page 11). Invensys Rail will be merged into Siemens' Rail Automation business within the Mobility and Logistics Division of Siemens' Infrastructure & Cities organization. More than 500 Invensys employees will join Siemens Rail Automation, including 300 in Louisville, Ky., and 210 in Marion, Ky. Post integration, Siemens Rail Automation will employ about 10,000 worldwide.
