The authors would like to make a notice that part of the introduction and system description sections of the work by Pai, Yau, and Kuo (2010) can be referred to the work by Liaw, Chang, Li, Huang, and Tzeng (2009) and should be cited even it was under the status of in press at Journal of Aeronautics, Astronautics and Aviation. The problem considered by Pai et al. which focused on the design of an algorithm to stabilize the chaotic rod-type plasma torch system, is strongly inspired by Prof. Liaw et al. which offers the nonlinear behavior in arc plasma dynamics. The authors also like to make an acknowledgement to thank Prof. Liaw et al. for their kindness and inspiration.
