Glycosylation of testicular angiotensin-converting enzyme and its function

摘要

In this study, we have investigated effects of glycosylation on the enzymatic activity of testicular angiotensin-converting enzyme (tACE), which plays critical roles in fertilization. We found here that the basal enzymatic activities of tACE were not affected whether it was O-glycosylated, while the GPI-anchored protein releasing activity (GPIase) was seemed to be modulated by the difference of O-glycan profile.
