It is troublesome to remove the urinary calculus, which sticks to laboratory racks and cages. If prevention of the attachment of urinary calculus is enabled, we can largely cut down on labor to need for care and management. A glass coating materials at normal temperature is coating materials forming a glass membrane to various materials by normal temperature operation. It is reported that a formed glass membrane is hard amorphia, and it is superior to the durability and chemical resistance. In this time, we studied attachment of urinary calculus protective effect by pilot test (using a stainless steel bats) and main test (using laboratory racks) Pilot study made artificial rabbit urinary calculus on a stainless steel bat and compared adhesion prevention indication of the control side and the test side that applied a glass coating material at normal temperature by image analysis. The test side urolith residue mean was 0.083 ± 0.067 (n=5) cm~2, and the control side urolith residue mean was 0.82 ± 0.096 (n=5) cm~2. About ten times differences were shown, between the test side and the control side in the urinary calculus. For all of these reasons, it was suggested that application of normal temperature glass coating materials was effective in preventing adhesion of urinary calculus.
