Studies on the Environmental Control of Laboratory Animals

摘要

The environmental factors around laboratory animals, such as temperature, humidity, air velocity, ventilation rate and freedom from airborne dust particles, have been mentioned. These factors not only affect animal reproduction and animal experiments, but also affect the health of the researchers and technicians who handle animals, as a laboratory animal allergy is a kind of biohazard. Persons working with laboratory animals should recognize the importance of environmental control in laboratory animal facilities. The results of this report will be useful in planning and managing laboratory animal facilities, but they have been mentioned only briefly. For further details, please refer to our other reports. As there are a lot of the environmental factors related to laboratory animals, the author hopes to conduct further detailed studies on environments of laboratory animals.
