AT&T plans $US1b investment in global network

AT&T says it will invest $US1 billion in 2008 to expand and upgrade its global network in response to the huge demand for IP networks and services resulting from "the explosive surge in data, voice and video traffic made possible by the proliferation of high speed networks and devices worldwide."
