New telecomms consumer body gets $2m annual budget

The Federal Budget has allocated an annual budget of $2m, at the upper limit of its 'wish list', to the new peak telecoms consumer body the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN).rnThe amount is more than double the funding which ACCAN's forerunner the Consumers Telecommunications Network (CTN)together with numerous smaller consumer representative 'bodies received in previous years and is at the top end of consumer representatives aspirations for the new body.
