In its new report the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) says awareness of its role has increased significantly to 57% of consumers as of late last year, compared to 36% per cent in 2008.Commenting on the latest TIO report, the Communications Alliance says that the figures released by the TIO for the period October to December 2012 - the first full quarter since the Telecommunications Consumer Protections (TCP) Code came into force - showed that total complaints dropped by 20% compared to the same period a year earlier.
